Having Issues with Your Washer or Dryer?
Don’t throw in the towel—let’s get it spinning right again! Try these quick fixes:
My washer won’t complete a cycle or displays a uB code.
Typically your washer will fail to finish the cycle if it detects the load is unbalanced. Ensure the clothes are evenly distributed, if they are not, redistribute the load. If you are only washing one or two items, add in a towel to help even out the weight in the washer basket. If you are washing fabrics that absorb lots of water, such as a down blanket, try to add a couple of towels in to help balance the load.
My washer has an odor.
• Run cleansing cycles to sanitize periodically. Use a tub cleaning tablet (purchasable at most grocery stores or online) to help remove any soap scum buildup.
• Excessive suds collect in recesses and can cause foul odors, use a smaller amount of detergent.
• Dry the washing machine interior after a cycle has finished.
My washer or dryer wont turn on.
• Check that the power cord is plugged into the wall.
• Check your breaker box to make sure the breaker isn’t tripped.
• If the issue persists, contact us to set up a maintenance request.
My dryer isn’t heating
• Check your breaker box to ensure any breakers haven’t tripped.
• Some cycles selection do not use heat, ensure the cycle you have selected is a heated cycle.
• Clean the lint filter.
• The dryer may have entered a cool down phase of the cycle.
• Turn off the eco-dry option for NORMAL or TIMED-DRY cycles. When the Eco Dry option is on, the dryer performs an air dry process in the beginning of the cycle to reduce energy consumption. The air dry process does not use heated air, so you may feel that the dryer is not being heated, but this is normal.
My dryer isn’t drying my clothes
• Do not overload. 1 wash load = 1 dryer load
• Dry heavy items and light weight items separately.
• Large, bulky items, such as blankets or comforters, may require repositioning to ensure even drying.
• Make sure that your washer is draining properly and extracting adequate water from the load.
• The load may be too small to tumble properly. Add a few towels and restart the dryer.
• The load may be too large to tumble properly. Remove some items and restart the dryer.
• Clean the lint filter.
There are pieces of lint on my clothes after using the dryer.
• Make sure the lint filter is cleaned before every load. For clothes that naturally build up lint, clean the filter during the cycle
• Some fabrics are lint producers (for example, a fuzzy white cotton towel) and they must be dried separately from clothes that are lint trappers (for example, a pair of black linen pants).
• Divide larger loads into smaller loads for drying.
• Check pockets thoroughly before drying, then dry clothes
• Remove lint inside the drum before drying.
My washer isn’t using enough water.
• Modern washers are more efficient with water usage and will use less water on normal cycles. Change the water level from automatic to HIGH or EXTRA HIGH
